With the popularity of Sardinia in the 1970s came the relocation of vineyards and wineries across the country. Mura was no exception, having previously been situated on what is now the airport. With a new location in Gallura, one of the finest sites to grow Vermentino, diverse soil structure and sea wine produce a wine of complexity and depth.
In recent years the Mura's daughter Marianna took over production, and alongside greater investment came a sole focus on indigenous varieties. Steel is the dominant fermentation and aging tool, with some new French wood reserved for their Baja.
